Can wait for the next season to start oh and i heard that no other team had gone to the finals 4 straight years for like 30 years or something and i was like oh well we just had to beat another record lol
WE THRIVE ON BEING THE BEST WE CAN BE !!
~~C Jon K. do you know the weather is liked in the tropics? Look at Russia, a northern country experiencing the worst summer and firestorm. Many Russians have died from an unbearable heat plus the suffocating smog. they are not used to this tropical weather. In China, a vast land on earth took pride their Made in China goods predicted as the next economic giant yet they don have any flood controls to stop the deluge that killed thousands of people along its path. (Thanks God, the city of Flagstaff does not fall in China or else Fatty will be floating and blogging along the Colorado river.) LMAO!
I think Jon K, Canada has a great weather especially in Toronto, the home of Niagara Falls. If you go far north in the Hudson Bay, you see the greatest show made in heavens, the Northern Lights and Aurora Borealis. A show without commercials and hooplah from sports pundits. Toronto is not that bad, it is just the fringe of imagination of one to make it a great place depending on how you make the most on quality of life. While we were touring Finland, we asked a tour guide,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], what do you do during winter with 3-4 hours of sunlight? Can you play golf in Winter? She said: Yes, we do. The grounds are white instead of green. We used a orange ball instead of white. We turned on the lights along the fairway. therefore, you reinvent lifestyle based on your surroundings.
When this summer will be remembered, it will for all it zest, be remembered as the time of the Greatest Heist in Sports History. The slick-haired, sly Pat Riley had climaxed and snatched all three Cubic Zarconia in one, ravishing display of cunning. Chris Bosh, Lebron James,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Dwyane Wade all signed contracts to play in Miami, all for one -- and one for all.
Whether history records the three as the Kings or the Stooges is yet to be decided. Certainly from a betting man standpoint, the Miami Heat are as good as gold, as can be gathered from Vegas favoring Heat over Lakers by a 2 to 1 margin.
Most stunning about the recent 45-day soap opera which was NBA Free Agency, was not the amount of noise made by the league new celebrities, but the silence of the show true ringleaders. Though timeless protagonists like Jordan, Magic, and Bird weighed in on Decision quickly -- the game current heads of state have been eerily silent. Phil Jackson, a major mover of contemporary thought in the game today,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], has hardly uttered a whisper. Though Kobe has had his share of public appearances, with a most recent tour in China filled with photos and questions from fans, the all encompassing question about the Heat remain unanswered. Is this by design?
The story could not be more compelling. Jackson, who is now on his final tour of duty in his ascribed Stand finds himself on the cusp of the ultimate close-out. His Jordan, Game 6 vs. Utah 98 moment in now,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], finally,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], upon him. It is without doubt that this is a gift from the Heavens. It is without doubt that Phil could not have asked for anything more.
The true illuminaries (*) of the human race, it seems,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], become timeless heroes because of their abilities to achieve the impossible. It is truly a testament to the Gods that Jackson finds himself on the precipice of winning a dozen championships, recording 4 different 3-peats across 2 decades, and forever claiming the number 1 spot in NBA coaching as to all his contemporaries and future successors.
As for Kobe Bryant? What can really be said? Bryant is a classic case of evidence to the old adage, "hard work creates luck". Hard working Bryant is without peer. Lucky? He may very well be peerless in that intangible quality as well.
After losing to Detroit in the Finals in 2004,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and the Celtics on the same stage in 2008, Kobe current body of work stands at 7 Finals appearances, with 5 wins. Though thoroughly impressive, it pails in comparison to Jordan -- who, to put it simply, won it every time. Jordan also had moments of illumination on the Finals stage which will never be forgotten for as long as the game is played -- feats that Bryant has yet to capture.
To Jodan taking of the torch from Magic in 91 to his Utah game-winners, Bryant has not painted one comparable Finals showcase. Though it can be argued statistically or numerically, there is not debate otherwise. Jordan captivated the imagination with heroic portraits of success on the game grandest stage. Bryant merely averaged 30 points, a few boards,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and a handful of assists to capture his ring.
There is a stark difference between the two. Which brings us to the topic at hand. Luck. Kobe, having had no chance to pass Michael on the Greatest of all Time (GOAT) discussion because of his lack of moment now has a chance to craft his grand masterpiece. All thanks to Lebron,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Wade, and Riley. And the task is simple: beat this team, slay this dragon and his legacy will live immortal.
With the fans around the NBA and across the world in direct agreement that the Miami Heat are now villains, Bryant for the first time in his career finds himself in the role of hero. Like the story of the boy who descends into the lair to slay a dragon no one else would dare engage, Kobe now finds himself at the culmination of his career, his destiny, and his fate.
Bryant was born to play the game. His past and future are ultimately mute when compared to this, current in his career. Nothing else is more important, or will be. The kid from Philly who craved to be The Greatest has been granted the opportunity to reach his highest apex.
The task if simple: Slay the dragon,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Save the world. Become immortal.
Justa, i know that but any people of Toronto claim as part of their territory. They are even worried of the horseshoe erosion at the Falls which is getting larger and larger every year. A thousand years from now, Niagara Falls moves to Lake Superior and becomes part of Michigan. I know there is such thing a city of Niagara and also the metropolis Toronto but there is no Niagara Raftors so they become a satellite of Toronto which is just about an hour and half hours away. If we compare it to our area here, it like going to San Bernardino or Riverside, they don have Lakers so they call themselves LA people when they are outside of their base.
And can I say one thing? I watched two films this weekend,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], "The Hurt Locker" and "Shaolin Soccer," and I got to say, the better film of the two, by far, was "Shaolin Soccer," and I am not kidding. That film is faaaaaaaantastic!
I always dreaded whenever my kung fu gets mixed in with comedy because the result historically has been this really low brow Cantonese-style chopsocky comedy where everyone looks like rats with big red noses and buck teeth and they get faces full of dog crap and what not. It like the worst Three Stooges film you ever seen, but with terrible english dubbing.
But suddenly, there are these kung fu comedy-action films that are outrageously funny with a comedy spectrum that hits on a lot of different levels. These films are filled with movie parodies and cultural puns and all kinds of crazy/cheesy special effects all rolled up into an action-film tortilla.
I put "Shaolin Soccer" and "Kung Fu Hustle" both in this reborn genre of kung fu comedy,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and the world is a better place for it.
~~they made a good decision perhaps heard the promise of Bugsy Siegel and Lucky Luciano that Las Vegas will be the center of entertainment and the center of the casinos. That the place where they gamble everything and not afraid to take risks compared to Canadians who are happy with what the Good Lord gave them. However, Canadians are one of the luckiest people on earth, they are not on the top that gets involved in every world problem or at that bottom that begs for clean water and shelter like the people of Haiti.
Welcome back to the, Big MM; Since i missed the 1000 post party, this would of been my entry in; If all goes right, we going to win the Championship again; It doesn matter if Miami fans talk smack; Or that the FAILTICS now have shaq; Or that OKC signed Durant,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], to come back; So the Lakers countered with Matt along with his tatt Jerry Buss wont relax; paying the highest payroll plus the luxury tax; Ring Championships, is all we know; Laker fans is it just me or is this offseason, dreadfully slow; Yes, our players need rest; but us fans cant rest until September twenty fifth; enough with the offseason,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], let the 3peat commence; For know that my best; Untill my next post, i know digress.
