They're made for restaurant workers who need to walk around slippery floors (walmart makes rip-off work shoes, but they might only be allowed in black). Will the ice be freshly zam'd, or not ? If the ice will be rough from an earlier session (ie not zam'd), you get some luck in the snow on the ice can give you some friction (not much).
