Seeing as they are showing an episode of TOTP maybe one of the chart experts here can work out which song it will be (I can't), other artists appearing on the same show were Brotherhood of Man,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Fox,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], John Miles,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Diana Ross,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Sailor the Beatles (I doubt they were live though). If its 1976 I would guess ABBA will be doing Ferando and I think BHOM's Save Your Kisses For Me was in the charts at the same time but,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that only a guess. Anyway, we won't be watching it will we Geordie Question

My guess is Fernando too,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], although I believe they also performed Mamma Mia on TOTP in 1976. If Brotherhood of Man are in there, I think Fernando's the safest bet. As for watching it - it is what V+ was invented for, I won't be drunkenly walking any streets,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I'll be busy laughing at you lot thinking of new ways to get you all to embarass yourselves which you won't remember the next day (but I'll have the photographic evidence). From the artists you've mentioned Gill. it will be Fernando from 1976 (just checked my Virgin Top 40 Charts book) and Jack,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the BCR were in the charts at the time with something called 'Like Me Like I Love You' so you might well be in luck. Wink

Oh man, they didn't even perform that on TOTP. if it's that LMLILY, they'll just show that awful promo where Alan 'magically' turns into Ian.
Don't tell m that Total TV Guide actually used an apropriate photo then. This is what they are wearing in the photo they have used on the cover (very small hoto with writing all over it unfortunately), I thought it could have been just sheer dumb luck that had resulted in them using a photo from the correct period. they are actually repeating every top of the pops from 1976,one per week from next thursday i think.

I must say,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I'm SO excited about these old episodes of TOTP being repeated,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it's the only thing I make a point of watching on TV these days (although I have to watch it on the BBC iPlayer as I am always, always out on a friday night being sparkling and gorgeous somewhere Laughing

). And it's coming up to my era too. I started following the charts each week on the radio from 1977 onwards I think but certainly watched TOTP before that so as you can imagine, I am BESIDE myself with excitement. :boogie:
