trouble in paradise
Yesterday I was brought to the wonderful realm of disposable clothing by my co-worker Anne. This really is a trendy office, and i am not too trendy a woman. My taste has always go to the classic; my closet is filled with black and charcoal straight leg pants, long black skirts,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and khakis. White shirts, tshirts,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], turtlenecks. I'll occasionally splurge on the dressy top or something,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but it's unusual. I've got a hard time spending money on off colors, or new styles which i won't be able to wear 6 months from now. I had been raised to think that you simply spent your hard earned money on quality Body really expensive pair of black boots that will last 5 years I'll do, but five pairs of cheap shoes - never. Until yesterday.
Enter H I truly only visited keep Anne company, however i found an adorable little black top that was ridiculously cheap, so I picked up, and 30 minutes later I was putting six shirts and a bag on the counter. I was blown away through the ridiculously low total, and I got to buy things like a red bag and a dusty pink chiffon drapey top that I never would have bought whether it wasn't That place rocks. Obviously, the shit will fall apart in Six months,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but who cares? I'm feeling all sassy today during my black wrap top.
You know what else happened yesterday? An ex of mine, pre-marriage,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], came by my office together with his 5 year old daughter, and without a doubt, it had been surreal. I'm not sure why, as we've kept in touch each one of these years, and that i was fully conscious of the circumstances leading up to this - his marriage, his first child, after which this second one. But it would be a very strange thing, for him to come walking through the door with this little girl, hiding her face in the pant leg. Helped me feel old. She was adorable,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and that i endeared myself to her forever by giving her a big envelope filled with all the candy and cookies and crap we keep for this office.
And today's another day, sunny although not too warm,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and I'm going to have dinner tonight with my old friend Jeanine, who I haven't observed in 2 yrs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and I made plans to hang out with Ellen plus some of her girlfriends on Saturday.
