What Type of Perfume Girl Are You,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
We're nosy little beauty bees here at PRIMPED. Sure, we like to talk about ourselves and our lives a little (our partners might think a tad too much),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but we actually find things much more fascinating when we get to delve into your beauty habits.
We've also become more than a little addicted to tracking the results of our polls (you know, the ones we run on the home page, like where we asked you about your top beauty icon).
Lately,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you might remember, we quizzed you on how many fragrances you wear.
And the votes are in! Here how it went down …
1. A Three-Favourite-Fragrances Girl. This is most of you. 43% to be precise. I totally understand where you're coming from. If I wasn't in the business I in - where we get to test fragrance for a living (I know,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I know, violins …) - I would have about three perfumes on the go, too. And they would be:
a Zesty Citrusy Number. Something to pick me up on Monday mornings, or make me feel better when I'm blah or blue, or make me feel fresher post a sweaty yoga class. My all-time top is Clarins Eau Dynamisante,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien, from $130,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], David Jones, is not far behind at all.
a Pretty-in-a-Bottle Perfume. You know those days when you just feel what can only be describe as You swipe on some pink lipstick,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], blush on some peachy cheek colour,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], slip into a floral dress and cute wedges and yet … still That's where the power of perfume comes into play. Estée Lauder's Beautiful, from $90,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], from department stores, would do the trick here - it is indeed everything its name promises. Personally, I like my florals to have a gourmand edge - for example, the new Lancôme La Vie En Rose, from $95,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], from department stores. One perfume expert once told me that food notes in fragrance don't actually make you hungrier rather, they satisfy a sweet tooth. And anything that can stop me pigging out on a frumpy-feeling kind of day,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], well that's got to be a good thing, right?
something Classic and Drop-Dead Glamorous. To make special occasions all the more special, and to simply look lovely on the dressing table. My pick is kind of obvious: Chanel No 5. But it could also be something like Jean Patou Joy or the so-swoony Robert Piguet Fracas.
2. A Signature-Scent Girl. 33% of you are in a monogamous fragrance relationship. Lucky you. If I could find one single scent that would satisfy me long-term, it would take much stress out of my perfume decision-making process. Speaking of which …
3. A Different-Perfume-For-Everyday-Girl. 19% of you are like me. We have a fragrance wardrobe. For example, there's a get-down-to-business scent, likely a green one (great for helping to overcome Monday-itis),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], an energising blend for hump day, a jaw-droppingly sexy oriental for date nights,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a fresh and outdoorsy number for the weekend And, of course, some are in the repertoire purely because the bottles are so irresistible that you'll force yourself to love whatever is inside. Like I said, I fall into this category simply because of my job. This is what my desktop looks like at home:
Oh, and then there's another perfume pit-stop (as I call it) going on in my bedroom. Right next to my actual wardrobe so I can match my fragrance to my frock. Sounds glorious. And it is,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], don't get me wrong. But the pressure to get my morning spritz right is intense. I usually do get it spot-on, but I have been known to go to an important business meeting smelling like a fourteen year old in a lolly shop.
4. A No-Scent-at-All-Girl. 4% of you don't wear one single spritz of anything. Whoah,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], brave, I must say. But, well, good on you. You must smell naturally gorgeous.
Tell me, Primpers - which fragrance girl are you?
If you only wear a handful of perfumes, what are they?
Signature scent kind of lady? Who's the lucky contestant?
Or are you an eau-de-no-smell? If so, why's that?
LOL at 14 year old in a lolly shop
I try to mix it up a bit. I mean a sulty night out doesn work for the school run or a trip to the supermarket. But I always like to wear something.
Which is why it is so completely odd that when i asked Hubby why he hadn ever bought me perfume he said it was because I never wear any.
